To manage the production and packaging of the company's products, providing the required quality, quantity and consistency at the lowest possible cost
To ensure the company products are available to the points of sales in the right place and time in sufficient quantities

Basic duties and Responsibilities

Determining the most cost effective programme of production and packaging of the product and plant maintenance
Plan, organise, control, and co-ordinate all activities concerning production, packaging, warehousing, maintenance and immediate sub-ordinates
Delegate responsibility and authority to immediate sub-ordinates
Select, train, develop, motivate and guide immediate sub-ordinates
Develop improved production, hygiene controls and cleaning procedure methods
Ensuring that quality standards of products and raw materials are improved and maintained
Ensuring a high standard of discipline and productivity is maintained
Maintaining an adequate deployment of staff to ensure that programmes are effectively met with maximum staff utilisation
Ensure that effective treatment procurement and storage of raw materials
Arrange for the effective treatment and disposal of waste/ullages and effluent in accordance with health and municipal by-laws and regulations
Monitoring production and packaging progress and ensuring that cost standards are maintained within budgets
Preparation and presentation of prescribes reports reflecting the performance of production, packaging and maintenance sections
Maintain daily production and stock records
Ensure that appropriate safety standards are complied with according to NOSA and MOS ACT regulations
All property is adequately safeguarded and attend to security measures
Implementation and control of preventative maintenance and effective repairs to all plant and equipment
Co-ordinating all daily returns and paperwork
Ensure stock losses are kept to a minimum by determining a correct production planning schedule, stock rotation and buffer stock capacities
Perform admin duties e.g. personnel time sheets, duty rosters & ordering delivery rates
Prepare annual capital, revenue and expenditure budgets
Do forecast on budgets and recommend corrective action
