Requirements:
- Grade 12
- Tertiary qualification with a minimum National Diploma in either Technical, Pharmaceutical or Production Management
- Minimum 5 years' experience within a production environment, with at least 2 years at supervisory / management level
- Strong maintenance and technical knowledge
- Previous experience in the FMCG or pharmaceutical industry

Responsibilities:
- Ensure the department meets its production requirements effectively and efficiently at all times
- Assist with production planning
- Ensure optimum labour utilization at all times while organizing and controlling the day to day production requirements
- Prepare and monitor annual department budget
- Write, review and update the department SOP's and GMP's
- Control all departmental production documentation and schedules
- Develop methods and systems to maintain the highest possible quality of production
- Optimizing maximum efficiency of company resources with minimal reject and waste levels
- Control department staff discipline
- Provide timeous and accurate operational data as required, for the monitoring of key indicators
- Timeous reconciliation of batch documentation and transfer of product to the stores
- Responsible for departmental Health and Safety process
