Key performance areas:

? Develop and execute the manufacturing plan to reach the business objectives related to production volume, cost, quality etc
? To establish and maintain a standard of performance for the operation
? Allocating resources
? To direct the production and assembly process, testing and workflow design
? Oversee the production process and draws up a production schedule in order to ensure that efficiency and performance targets are met and that the production is cost-effective
? Coordinate, set up and implementation of operating procedures for all production activities
? Compute amounts of stock and supplies required for operations subject to the production plan and lead time of required materials and components
? To plan the flow of materials through department and develop the layouts of working stations and machines according to work orders
? To analyze and resolve production problems and improve the production methods and equipment performance in order to promote the efficiency
? Ensure that, quality, health & safety procedures and environment policies and regulations concerned to manufacturing are followed and that the company guidelines are implemented
? To maintain working hours and production records according to requirements of Finance
? Ensure regular reporting to stakeholders
? Lead, motivate and coach/develop the team in order to drive optimal performance
? Assessment of manufacturing operations staffing and skill requirements and accordingly develop plans to address needs and improve overall performance of individuals

The successful candidate must have:

? Matric with a Bachelor Degree in Engineering or relevant qualification
? Minimum 3 - 5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing in a similar industry
? Lean manufacturing /continuous improvement background would be advantageous
? Financial knowledge / good understanding of basic financial analysis
? Experience in budgeting or budget control
? Experience in FMCG or Agricultural industry would be advantageous
? Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team
? Computer literacy – SAP, MS Office
? Knowledge of MES will be an advantage
? Must be innovative and have initiative
? Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
? Team leadership, ability to promote the team spirit and motivate others
? Strong analytical thinking / problem solving skills
? Pragmatic
