Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule the activities Load and Haul contracts Manager. Perform other services in support of mining (Assist with stemming and pumping of emulsion into blast holes). Supervise powder plant, weighbridge, Primary plant and secondary plant production, maintenance and housekeeping.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Establish methods to meet work schedules and communicate with managerial and technical personnel, other departments and contractors to
resolve problems and co-ordinate activities.
• Deputising in the absence of management team
• Manage performance and discipline by delegating work duties to individual staff members
• Attend to breakdowns and issues related to deviation reports
• Ensure that Powder, Primary and Secondary Plants run at peak production of 90% OPP
• Housekeeping of Powder, Primary and secondary plants, buildings and roads in the respective areas
• Assist with Safety Inspections daily, weekly and monthly
• Ensure that daily lock outs are done in accordance with site specific procedure
• Assist with the drafting of Safe operating procedures and Code of practices
• Ensure that all work done is in line with Safe Operating Procedure and Code of Practices relevant to own area
• Preparing of production and other reports and ensuring that those reports are received every morning before 8am
• Resolve work problems and recommend measures to improve productivity and housekeeping
• Train plant operators in their duties, safety procedures and company policies
• Monitor key performance indicators
• Empower and coach subordinates
• Approving time records and request for time off
• Required to work shifts and standby as requested by management

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
School Grade: Matric
Professional Registration/Trade Boilermaker/Fitter or Millwright Trade Test

Driver’s License Code 08
Experience Minimum 5 years’ experience in Production and Maintenance Environment
