Production Night Shift Manager (EKE242)

R40 000 per month CTC including risk benefits, provident fund, contribution to medical aid/OCSA care

Experience in optical field is highly recommended and will be give preference

Purpose:
Mentor, lead, coach employees to achieve safety, cost, quality and delivery targets for assigned designated functional manufacturing area

Education:
Grade 12
Tertiary qualification in production management or engineering
Optical dispensing diploma

Duties and responsibilities
Excellent communication and organisational skills
5- 10 years’ experience managing a production facility
Experience managing production facility in ISP and OHSAS accredited environment
Experience in optical field advantageous
Supervisory and management experience required
Must be willing to work overtime, Saturdays and Sundays and some holidays when required
Monitor and manage daily targets

Safety
Responsible for preventing incidents
Ensure compliance, corrective actions, provide support for improvement including training

Employee leadership, development and administration
Supervise
Health and safety practices
Understand production schedules, estimate worker hour requirements for job assignment
Develop process plan, people, resources and equipment
Coordinate manpower
Responsible for overall direction, coordination and evaluation of night shift units
Training employees, planning, assigning and directing work, appraising performance, disciplinary procedures, addressing complaints and resolving issues
Training documentation
Maintain production schedules
