Our client, a leading international Pharmaceutical company is looking for an experienced and qualified Production Pharmacist at their head office
in Aeroton in Johannesburg.

Job Purpose

Ensure Compliance to SA GMP Guidelines, PIC’S and ISO 9001:2000 Perform Production Line, opening, checks and document review Handling of non-conforming product, customer complaints and Defect Trend Analysis.

Required Learning

Registered Pharmacist – B Pharm
Computer literacy: BPCS, Oracle, MS Office
Performs Production Pharmacist Line opening / Line checks per SOP
Review all production documents to:

Key Job Outputs

Ensure that the correct SOP / SPECS / PIC’s / BOM were used during the production process
Ensure the correct measuring equipment was used and that the equipment was within calibration
Ensure that the machines are set to the correct process parameters and that the process parameters used are validated
Ensure that traceability of equipment and materials used has been maintained
Ensure that non-conforming product has been handled per SOP and justification have been written where necessary
Updates SOP’s to ensure that the Standard Operating Procedures reflect current practices
Ensures that all production operators are trained for the tasks they are performing
Draw up lesson plans and train per the lesson plan
Conducts monthly GMP audits per SOP
Ensure that the working area and operators comply to GMP Standards and SOP
Writes reports / justification to release the product where necessary
Initiates and implements corrective and preventative action
Evaluates the effectiveness of the corrective action
Investigate the cause of the customer complaints
Initiates and implements corrective action
Participates in Internal and External Audits conducted
