• Standard 10 / Grade 12 or equivalent with good results in mathematics.
• Tertiary study is an advantage.
• Min 5 years in a production environment with at least 3 years planning and scheduling experience in a similar environment.
• Excellent English communication skills, oral and written.
• Excellent computer skills, working with MS Office
• Must be prepared to work overtime / weekends / shifts in accordance with operational requirements

• Prepare daily plan for each machine and each run and extrapolate for nightshift.
• Monitor production status and progress to ensure all jobs planned and in process are completed on time.
• Allocate and distribute work load per team and operator for optimal productivity in pursuance of deadlines.
• Calculate running times and estimate completion times.
• Check that the action team effectively actions the “prep” in accordance with the production plan.
• Ensure that the planners are attached to each machine for the next shift.
• Monitor each machine is aware of the order of runs and times for the full shift.
• Prepare the plan for the next shift before close of business each day.
• Supervise planning assistants
• Adhere to health & safety requirements and ensure employees are compliant at all times
• Maintain good housekeeping and hygiene standards in accordance with policies
