RedCat Recruitment is urgently seeking an experienced PRODUCTION SHIFT SETTER for a well-established national concern – position based in the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands area.

Grade 12 (or N2).
N3 or higher would be advantageous.
Computer literate (MS Office, Email / Internet). Must be competent on MS Excel and MS Word.
Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport.
English speaking (person must be able to speak, read and write English competently).
Setting and/or mechanical experience is ESSENTIAL.
Previous manufacturing, maintenance and shift experience.
3yrs+ previous work experience in production and/or manufacturing environment.
Exposure to blow moulding a strong advantage.
Assisting in achieving a production efficiency of 85% - 90%.
Assisting in ensuring that raw material wastage levels are maintained below 1.4% of material used.
Setting machines according to the best practices.
Conducting mould and material trails as required.
Reporting and assisting with machine and mould maintenance requirements.
Ensuring that machinery and moulds are effectively maintained, serviced and stored.
Ensuring top quality products are produced.
Practicing a high standard of housekeeping and safety.
Any other duties reasonably requested by supervisor or other.
Prepared to work overtime when required
Must be able to work shifts / overtime and have own reliable transport.
