My client in the Mining industry is currently seeking to employ a Rubber Lining Supervisor for their Mokopane branch.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Qualified Artisan with Technical qualification/training in Rubber Technology preferred
• Thorough knowledge of rubber products
• Valid Driver’s License and HSE training
• Computer Literacy in MS Office Suite, BAAN and Lotus Notes

Minimum Experience:

• Supervisory experience with on-site Management skills
• Ability to read, interpret technical drawings, liaise and establish good rapport with the Customer base.
• Project Management skills will be of an advantage

Key Tasks:

• To establish in-house lining facility at Customer sites where required
• Identify new business opportunities for sheeting, lining, fabrication and hose products
• To coordinate and supervise site work and all compliance related documentation
• To perform plant audits and site evaluations and submit plant audit reports to Customers
• Propose cost effective sheet, lining and hose solutions to clients
• Serve as Mokopane Branch point of contact with Customers on major projects, sales and service enquiries for the rubber product range and develop and maintain good Customer relationships
• Grow the product Customer base by five new Customers per region per year
• To support the Mokopane Branch in services related to rubber, hose and ceramic products
• Train and develop the rubber lining capabilities at Customer sites and Branch Service Centre
• To undertake site lining work and oversee Site Teams
• To develop and execute strategies to achieve the company targets
• Expand product footprint and Identify new business opportunities within the Mokopane region
• Receipt and logging of enquiries with product team
• Coordination of technical evaluation with the Product Team
• Coordinate communication with Customers and Internal Staff professionally
• Update Customers and product teams on project status
• Maintain good working relations with our manufacturing entities, Sales Representatives, end Clients, Agents and Distributors
• Observe all defined processes and procedures for the Application Engineering skill set
• Proactively identify and communicate skill set improvements
• Interact positively with Team Members and all functional Departments
• Carry out root cause analysis investigations and report with site visits as required, commissioning and troubleshooting
• Proactively develop relevant SOP’s and documentation for training, projects and services
• Ensure adherence to all HSE and housekeeping requirements on Site and in the Service Centre
• Adhere to Duty of Care Policy at all times
