RedCat Recruitment is currently seeking a PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR – position based in Ladysmith, KwaZulu-Natal.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Grade 12 / Matric.
Trade tested Fitter / or Electrician.
Computer literate.
English speaking (must be able to read, write and speak English competently).
5yrs+ previous working experience in a leadership position in a manufacturing environment.
Staff management experience.
Capable of tool setting.
Good knowledge of quality systems such as ISO9000.
Ability to problem solve using problem solving tools.
Good communication and organisational skills.
Must be able to work shifts, weekends and overtime.
Own transport ESSENTIAL.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Organise and run production according to output requirements and daily plan.
Ensure the most efficient and economic use of all equipment and personnel.
Control staff and equipment to ensure the highest quantity, quality output.
Take steps to rectify any quality deviation without delay and do random checks throughout the shift.
Ensure that all safety regulations are adhered to.
Technical instruction and training of production personnel on production machinery and all related equipment and procedure.
Instruct production personnel how to recognise and analyse faults and deviations.
Train with regard to special instruction regarding certain processes or procedures.
Attend to all needs of the staff under his/her control.
Person should preferably be currently residing in Ladysmith or surrounding areas, or be willing to relocate.

Salary package offered: R15 000-00 - R19 400-00 basic + shift allowance + benefits (medical aid / pension fund / provident fund).
