Professional Construction Manager (Buildings)

A multi-disciplinary consulting engineering firm with expertise in engineering, mining, construction and electrical services is seeking to employ a Professional Construction Manager (Buildings) to be employed on a contract basis in their Northern Cape offices.

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

Must be a holder of a Bachelor of Science Degree or Bachelor of Technology in Construction Management or Civil Engineering
Must have 8 – 12 years’ experience within a consulting engineering environment as a project or construction manager
Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in tendering, working with sub-consultants and contractors in the private and public sector
Must be registered with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) as a Professional Engineer or with The South African Council for the Project and Construction Management Professions as a Professional Construction Manager
Must have knowledge of Fidic, JBCC, GCC and NEC forms of Contract
Must have practical knowledge of MS Project
