Programme Advisor / Doctor Advisor

SM Healthcare Placements is inviting applications from suitably qualified individuals for the position of Programme Advisor / Doctor Advisor based Durban, Kwa-Zulu Natal for an exciting role within an International NGO in the health care field.

The incumbent will be responsible for directly coordinating and managing allocated aspects of the HIV and TB Management programme.
The post is based in Durban, Kwa-Zulu Natal South Africa. SM Healthcare Placements welcomes International and Regional applicants but can only offer a position to those with a valid work permit for South Africa.

The following are the qualifications, experience, knowledge and attributes requirements:

Education, Training and Experience
• MBChB
• HPCSA Registration
• Post graduate degree/ diploma in HIV management or specialist qualification in an HIV related field
• Data Management experience
• Computer skills (MS Office package)
• Fluency in English
• Driver’s license and own transport
• Willingness to travel
• 3 years’ experience in a Public healthcare setting
• Ability to handle a varied, busy and pressurized work load with competing demands on time.
• Experience in supporting TB Programme.
• Ability to work in a multi- disciplinary team with diverse backgrounds.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with staff at all levels.
Key performance areas

• Lead the team in evaluating clinical skills and needs and responding with support to
• design systems.
• Provide operational solutions and site specific training.
• Working and dealing with Provincial and local health authorities.
• Management of cluster staff, including day to day management, development and
• performance assessment.
