PYDA is a non-profit organisation based in Stellenbosch. Its develops talented, previously disadvantaged 18 – 25 year old youth through an innovative programme that combines personal development with industry-specific vocational training and practical work experience.

The Academy is looking to appoint an experienced, proactive and high energy Programme Delivery Co-ordinator to join a small dynamic team and manage all aspects of programme delivery.

ROLE:
The key responsibility of the Programme Delivery Co-ordinator is to ensure the day-to-day delivery of all aspects of PYDA Programmes. This position will have an internal operational and administrative focus with some external stakeholder liaison. The position will report to the Programme Manager.

The responsibilities of the PDC will be to:
• To ensure full programme implementation at the required standard and in line with the strategic objectives
• To build relationships and support liaison with external stakeholders
• To, as part of a delivery team, deliver all operational aspects for all Academy programmes
• This will include:
Student recruitment and selection:
? Arranging and running the advertising process for new student intakes supporting all external communications, including contact sessions and community talks
? Arranging and participating in Academy contact sessions with the long short-listed students
? Arranging the recruitment camp and coordinating the assessment process to identify the preferred candidates with other team members
? Ensuring the eligibility of successful candidates for the programme
? Offering the successful candidates positions on the programme
? Notifying unsuccessful candidates of the outcome
Ensuring all elements of Curriculum delivery including:
? Co-ordination and monitoring of student work placements
? Sourcing providers for training where required
? Facilitation/direct curriculum delivery where required
Monitoring, evaluation and feedback:
? Monitoring student progress through ongoing assessment of participants
? Co-ordinating student performance reviews and evaluations
? Managing all elements of the Theory of Change

Student graduation, job search and Alumni support:
? Coordinating all aspects of the student exit from the Academy on graduation
? Ensuring on-going support for job search pre and post- graduation
? Creating an alumni network for on-going support
? Coordinating Academy support for job placements
? Ensuring alumni attendance at major PYDA events to showcase successful graduates

Requirements:

? A formal tertiary qualification in a relevant area of study
? At least three years relevant experience
? A passion for youth development
? A passion for implementation and creating and delivering to efficient systems
? Ability to work in a fluid context with a small dedicated team
? Excellent personal relationships and an ability to bridge and connect communities
? Must be a resident of the Cape Winelands or surrounds
? Must have a driver’s license
