A Financial Institution in the Central part of Pretoria, has a vacancy for a Programme Manager.

The main purpose of this position is to manage Information Technology (IT) Programmes and to ensure that IT projects are delivered to specification, within budget, and on time
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following key performance areas:
Prioritise projects and new requests in collaboration with relevant business and department stakeholders to enable strategic alignment and optimal resource allocation
Facilitate the development of business case and project initiation documents in accordance with the PMO methodology, clearly defining and approving the purpose and business motivation
Allocate project managers and agree on the allocation of project team members
Oversee delivery by project managers according to approved schedules and produce the expected deliverables within budget and according to specification and quality standards
Fulfil the line management function pertaining to the development and performance of project managers and administrators within the team
Coach and mentor the project managers and administrators within the team
Conduct programme meetings to consolidate reporting and manage risks and constraints, ensuring cohesion, consistency, and integrity of output
Manage specific projects as and when required in accordance with workload or as assigned
Engage with and present to senior-level stakeholders at various stages of projects’ life cycles
Oversee the delivery of project benefits and monitor post-implementation reviews to ensure sustainability of project solutions

Job requirements
To be considered for this position, candidates must be in possession of:
An Honours degree or higher, or an equivalent qualification
Minimum of 8-10 years’ job-related experience – Project Portfolio and Programme Management
Additional requirements are as follows:
Industry, organisational and business awareness knowledge and skills - exposure to the Finance Industry (e.g. Banks, Insurers etc.)
Quality Assurance knowledge and skills
Project reporting
Project financial management knowledge and skills
Contract and service management knowledge and skills
Exposure to large-scale transformation programmes
Exposure to Regulatory Programmes and Projects
