Essential Functions:

Write programming scripts to enhance functionality of company multiple online systems and platforms as required.
Consistently write, translate, and code software programs and applications according to project specifications
Install software products for end users as required.
Delete code script from company systems and/or related web applications as required.
Recommend, schedule, and perform software improvements and upgrades.
Liaise with network administrators, external service providers (systems analysts, and software engineers) to assist in resolving problems with software products or company software systems.
Analyze and amend software errors in a timely and accurate fashion.
Assist in the preparation and documentation of program requirements and project specifications.
Research and document requirements of program users.
Run and monitor software performance tests on new and existing programs for the purposes of correcting errors, isolating areas for improvement, and general debugging.
Administer critical analysis of test results and deliver solutions to problem areas/projects.
Generate statistics and prepare and write reports for management and/or project managers on the status of the programming process.
Assist in the development and maintenance of user manuals and guidelines.
Conduct research on emerging application development software products, languages, and standards in support of procurement and development efforts.

 Minimum Requirements:

Matric with mathematics is essential and a qualification/degree in the field of computer science or software engineering
Minimum 3 years work experience
Minimum 2 years working technical knowledge of programming languages and platforms, including Synaps and vehicle tracking systems will be advantageous
1 year extensive database experience with Microsoft SQL 2008 upwards
Thorough understanding of platforms such as Online Intelligence and Easy Roster will be an advantage
Hands-on software troubleshooting experience
Flexible and adaptable in regards to learning and understanding new technologies
Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws
Strong written and oral communication skills in Afrikaans and English
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to conduct research into software-related issues and products
Technically proficient
Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Own transport and a valid drivers’ license
