This is a Fixed Term Contract position (+/- 18 months)

Purpose of the job:

Plan, prioritise and co-ordinate all procurement, commercial and contractual functions for projects according to correct information, professional practises, company Code of Practice, standards, specification and procedures

Planning Necessary:

• The incumbent does his/her own planning in the execution of allocated/requested tasks, taking into consideration procedures as well as prioritising tasks while adhering to company instructions and SHEQ procedures.


PLANNING NECESSARY

• Planning, prioritising and co-ordinating of all procurement, commercial and contractual activities as required in the project process to achieve desired result taking into account Scope, Cost, Legal requirements, project commercials, Procurement Policies and procedures, resource requirements, Stakeholder management
• This will include daily legal and contractual management
• Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Financial reporting, budget control, filing and procurement, resource prioritising, cash flow co-ordination, resolving contractual disputes, buying commodities, invoice management and capital motivation.

Plan, prioritise and co-ordinate all procurement, commercial and contractual functions for projects according to correct information, professional practises, company Code of Practice, standards, specification and procedures

• Negotiate contract terms and conditions according to standard terms and conditions
• Procurement of all goods required for the project
• Evaluate suppliers in terms of delivery and performance
• Use appropriate software like MS Word, E-mail, MS Excel, MS Projects and MS PowerPoint
• Monitor the procurement of services and equipment according to client needs and project schedules
• Manage and control expenditure according to approved budgets and report variances
• Ensure that all resources involved in project implementation are treated in a fair and consistent manner in line with company policy and procedures
• Meeting all Legal, Company and manufacture’s specifications.
• Work effectively with others as a member of a team, group, organisation or community.

• Organise and manage him/herself and his/her activities responsibly and effectively.

Minimum Requirements necessary to be considered for the position:

Qualifications:

• Grade 12 (Std 10)
• Diploma/qualification in Law/Supply chain management
• 5 Years Construction Project related Procurement/Commercial/Contractual experience or similar
• Computer literate
• Conversant in English
• 5 Years FIDIC-contracts experience
