Project Coordinator

SM Healthcare Placements is inviting applications from suitably qualified individuals for the position of Project Coordinator based in Johannesburg for an exciting role within an International NGO in the health care field.

Education, Training and Experience
• A Diploma in Organizational Development, Project Management, Administration or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in advocacy work or related environment. Experience in working with membership organizations would be an advantage.
• Experience in advocacy work, website and membership management, communication and external stakeholder liaison.
• Sound customer and service orientation
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Self-motivated with a high regard for work ethic, values and integrity
• Good command of English, verbally and in writing
• Ability to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner
• Working knowledge of software applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Key performance areas
• Membership growth and satisfaction through sound membership management and the development and implementation of an attractive membership package for company Members
• Development of several communication materials, including website development and maintenance
• Manage the company secretariat including internal and external communication, report and letter writing, minute-taking, office administration
• Co-organise the annual conference
• Develop and maintain sound relations with partner organizations and stakeholders
• Support the project’s Committee in their different functions
• Research support
• Fundraising
• Financial administration
