PROJECT COORDINATOR
The main function of a Project Coordinator is to co­ordinate small scale Projects. It can also be a supporting role to relevant stakeholders.
 
Responsibilities
  • Developed Project Plan and Schedule
  • Ensuring the project scope is defined by setting up the project definition workshops and follows PM standards. Ensures that the correct decision makers are there to agree the scope
  • Negotiates and agrees high level participation of relevant resources in the area/areas affected/impacted by project.
  • Generates a detailed project schedule, effectively showing tasks, milestones and identified resources
  • Ensures the correct level of Project communication and standards are set and adhered to throughout the Project Lifecycle
  • Lists and collate all project risks, issues and dependencies, in the agreed manner with relevant stakeholders. Ensures a mitigation plan and owner is in place, if required by the risk factor (RF) i.e. RF=probability*impact)
  • Manages Change Control. Publishes and maintains all change requests. Ensuring that each change request has an impact analysis attached to enable the stakeholders to make an informed decision as to where to implement or not and gets appropriate approval
  • Ensures Signoffs happen. Obtains relevant sign off of the project plan, schedule, scope or Project Definition Report/Charter
  • Managed Projects (Executed)
  • Set ups Project initiation. Arranges and facilitates project kick off
  • Presents regularly to the relevant stakeholders to update them on the status of the project i.e. milestones, Risks, Issue, Costs, Schedule, QA and HR.
  • Arranges and facilitates all regular project team status updates happen and is fed into the overall plan
  • Manages Status and Communications. Manages communication of all agreed and signed off change requests through status reports/dashboards/re­base lined project plans ensuring the impact of changes effectively communicated to relevant/affected parties
  • Organises and records effective project coordinator communication. Serves as the co­ordination point
  • Manages project plan. Ensures that the project timelines are managed effectively.
  • Escalates to the relevant person to get them to ensure that appropriate corrective action is taken to ensure that the project schedule, functionality and quality criteria are being met.
  • Facilitated Project Deployment
  • Signs off project. Facilitates project sign off with the Project Owner
  • Where applicable, collates Lessons Learned information. Organises for a closure workshop and accurately documents the lessons learned from the attendees

Minimum qualifications
  • A qualification of some sort in Project Management
