Basic Abilities:
1.1 Must have experience on pneumatics, hydraulics and Mechanical Systems
1.2 Minimum of 3-5 years’ hands on technical experience working gas pneumatics and hydraulic systems
1.3 Very good computer literate on Excel, Word and Microsoft Outlook
1.4 Must have valid driver’s Licence and vehicle
2. General Duties would include:
2.1 Responsible for the operations, logistics maintenance and Health & Safety aspects in the companies / on customer sites and plant. This will include controlling the day-to-day activities and all aspects that are required in the operations, logistics and maintenance of the equipment utilised.
2.2 Ensure that the companies and customers’ sites comply with all aspects required relating to Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), Major Hazardous Installation (MHI) and Health and Safety requirements and that these requirements are maintained and adhered to at all times.
2.3 Assist and co-ordinate all installations of all equipment and ensure that installations adhere to suppliers’ standards as well as prescribed South African and International standards and Acts.
2.4 Ensure that all certification and compliance are adhered to at any installation.
2.5 Assist and arrange logistics including the scheduling of deliveries of MAT Modules/tube trailers to customers and collection of MAT Modules/tube trailers from customers, and at all times ensuring that customers have minimum levels, as set out in the agreements, at customer sites allocated to the employee.
2.6 Ensure optimal and efficient rotation of MAT Modules/tube trailers.
2.7 Monitoring on a daily basis via the SCADA system the customers’ gas utilisation. Ensuring the gas utilisation meets customer contract requirements.
2.8 Implement technical reports and checklists for deliveries, weekly, monthly and annual services to equipment and installations.
2.9 Do weekly and monthly equipment and pipework inspections at all sites
2.10 Be available for general and emergency call outs to all sites.
2.11 Ensure maintenance of all equipment, including pipelines, is carried out regularly and perform regular inspections to prevent any gas leaks.
2.12 Ensure that necessary spare parts are kept in stock to deal with routine maintenance and minor breakdowns for all operating companies requirements.
2.13 Assist with implementing policies and procedures and ensure systems are in place.
2.15 Liaise with customers’ technical staff, ensuring positive working relationships are maintained.
2.16 CNG supply control, including controlling the, stock, losses of CNG
2.17 Giving feedback to the Management on the status and maintenance relating to equipment and customer sites.
2.18 Ensure that weekly and monthly reports are sent out on time and on pre-agreed dates.
2.19 To be the responsible person for the Health & Safety of employees and contractors working in the area of work and to abide by the Health & Safety Act of South Africa.
2.20 To comply with Company regulations regarding any accidents involving staff members, company property, visitors or customers on Company premises, and to immediately report to the Director / appointed person any Health & Safety hazards.
2.21 Any other general day-to-day operational running of the services and maintenance.
