PROJECT ENGINEER – Automation Engineer in Kya Sands, R480k CTC pa

JOB PURPOSE:
World Leading Automation Engineering Company requires a Qualified Engineer with extensive automation experience, who can lead as an Project engineer taking full responsibilities for turnkey projects, from design implementation, programming and commissioning of automation projects on time according to design specifications.

JOB DISCRIPTION & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provide automation design turnkey solutions and managing associated draughtsmen
• Take full responsibly for automation projects
• Troubleshooting automation systems, to minimize downtime and losses
• PLC Programming and designing of control cabinets
• Coding and writing software
• Commissioning of all phases of projects until final handover
• Ensure reliable operations and availability of utilities automation equipment by implementing effective preventative maintenance programs
• Ensure safe working practices are observed and safety regulations complied with at all times
• Drive improvement processes and set priorities in order to develop, implement and maintain best in class standards and basic conditions
• Ensure that all instrumentation controls documentation is kept up to date and reports are provided in a timely and accurate manner

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
• Engineering Degree/Diploma (preferably Mechanical/Electrical/Megatronics)
• Extensive Automation Experience
• Proven ability to program PLC’s.
• Configuring SCADA
• Design Control Cabinets
• Writing Software experience
• Design and Drawings
• Ability to motivate teams and simultaneously manage several projects
• Exceptional professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well under pressure
• Experience in Project management
