The successful candidate will be assigned to various key accounts and be responsible for the implementation and rollout of the clients products on behalf of the customer. The successful candidate will be required to fill both account management responsibilities and a project management function during a customer implementation. The role requires technical IT understanding, account management and project management skills. The individual would be required to guide and advise the customer as-well-as implement/maintain technical deliverables. The individual will serve as the client’s primary contact and manage the relationship between the site and Client ensuring high service levels are maintained at all times.

Responsibilities:

Managing key accounts in the Western Cape Region
Assisting with providing a strategic direction with regards to EDI at the client site
Chair customer meetings and be the customer go to person
Daily/Weekly/Monthly activity and statistic reports
Supporting and improving EDI projects implemented and being implemented at the client site
Understand the all product set and be able to cross and upsell to the client
Resolving queries from both customer and trading partners
Proactive management of any possible problem areas
High level of initiative and work well in a team environment
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Handles stressful situations and deadline pressures well
Correct identification of customer problems, logging, escalation/resolution & feedback.
Proactive monitoring, identification & resolution of possible problems.
Co-ordinating activities with the JHB Office
Manage timelines against agreed project plans and resolve issues or risks which could impact the delivery of the project
Responsible for Functional and Technical documentation with the client
Managing Change Controls and all relevant project documentation
Plans and carries out responsibilities with minimal direction
Be able to document client requirements in an professional and understandable manner for both client and internal teams to understand

Work Experience:

Three or more years’ experience in a related IT environment
Three or more years’ experience in account management\project management
Involvement in dynamic team with innovative thinking applied to problem solving
Basic understanding of Electronic Data Interchange, Web products and System Integration
Basic understanding of XML
Basic understanding of Communication protocols: FTP, Web services etc.
Some experience or knowledge within an programming environment
Experience in running client meetings and handling demanding clients
