Experienced Project Manager in the built environment to manage major building projects.
The candidate should have particular experience in:
• Development of management and reporting systems
• Management of design and construction stages of the project life cycle
• Regulatory requirement
• Multi year budget monitoring and reporting

Experience & Qualification:
• Formal Tertiary qualification (Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering)
• Professional Registration as a Project Manager and or Engineer
• 15 years post graduate experience
• Experience in project management in the public sector
• Experience in the built environment
• Computer literate with knowledge of appropriate computer design software packages
• Excellent communication skills and ability to use own initiative to meet set targets
• Good planning and organizational ability
• Flexibility and commitment and ability to work well under pressure

Key responsibilities/accountabilities of the role
• Brief development
• Management of the integrated multidisciplinary design process
• Key Stage Design Report preparation and presentation
• Management of tender document development and procurement processes
• Developing project reporting systems for quality, time and cost control in conjunction with the programme quantity surveyor and technical monitoring team.
• Co-ordinating the execution of the construction processes to ensure adherence to overall construction programme.
• Establishing a framework for monitoring progress, maintaining financial management and regularly reporting to the Employer.
• Monitoring and controlling delivery against quality, progress and budget requirements.
• Chair monthly progress meetings with the client
• Maintain effective communication and working relationships with the client, the project team, contractors and project stakeholders.
• Co-ordinating inspections and handovers, ensuring that commissioning of the building and services is properly undertaken and obtaining test certificates, as-built drawings, maintenance manuals and guarantees.
