A successful and well respected group invites suitably experienced and qualified Project Manager’s to apply. A fixed term contract to August 2016. Reporting to HOD construction.
Basic position description –

· Set up construction programme.

· Set up resources and site establishment.

· Monitor and report progress on a regular basis.

· Prepare, monitor and track long and short term programs.

· Monitor quality continually.

· Liaise with professional team.

· Manage subconstruction and building team

· Regular site meetings with client and sub-contractors to discuss and resolve issues.

· Fortnight and monthly claims for payments.

· Solve any construction queries and details.

· Compile snag lists prior to hand over and monitor the completion thereof. Hand over to client and obtain completion certificate.

· Program finalisation and monitoring including (in conjunction with the Contracts Manager), building methodology.

· Ensure all aspects of the budget are clear, detailed and made available to Contracts Manager.

· Co-ordinate all professionals and feed information timeously to the Contracts Manager.

· Resource tracking ie. ensuring sufficient resources.

· Finalisation of issuing of practical completion certificate/final completion.

· Initiate and control site meetings at regular intervals.

· Initiate and administer regular professional co-ordination meetings.

· Local authority liaison.

· Client liaison, if necessary.

Minimum requirements –

Qualification: A degree in Construction Management or equivalent will be preferable.
Experience: 8 years related experience plus proven technical and project management skills in residential & commercial construction.
Knowledge/attributes: excellent planning and programming skills and be proficient in MS Project; formulating & tracking project information flow; monitor and track a range of building activities; deadline driven; good communication skills. Ability to project manage different renovation projects. On site experience and excellent building knowledge. Ability to multi task with a range of building activities. Excellent management skills.

Up to R40 000.00 C.T.C (negotiable depending on experience/qualification)
