The role of the Project Manager is to plan, execute, and finalize projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-parties in order to deliver projects according to plan. The Project Manager will also define the project’s objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle.

Responsibilities

• Produce Project Assessments, Project Charters, High-level Estimates
• Work with stakeholders to define project scope, goals and products
• Manage product delivery from start to finish within budgetary and time   constraints
• Develop detailed project schedules and track delivery according to schedule
• Communicate project expectations to stakeholders
• Communicate deviations from plan to the Project Board
• Ongoing liaison with project stakeholders
• Manage project resources
• Produce regular project status reports to communicate project status to relevant parties
• Proactively manage change, risk
• Ensure quality standards are defined and met by project products
• Mentor, motivate and supervise project team members
• Liaise and negotiate with department or team managers for project resources
• Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel
• Explicitly defining work packages to be executed by team members
• Proactively escalating risks to project stakeholders
• Manage relationships with clients and stakeholders
• Liaise with clients extensively
• Manage project cost against budget
• Invoice customers according to agreed billing arrangements
• Maintain a good understanding of company technologies

 
Requirements

• 2 years+ experience in a project management position
• Certification in PMI/PRINCE2 would be an advantage
• A history in software development/business analysis would be an advantage
• Experience using MS Project to produce project schedules
