ABOUT THE ROLE
As Project Manager you are ensuring that all projects are delivered on-time, within the scope and budget and are defining project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and providing technical feasibility. Definition of the project team for each project, assigning roles, responsibilities, and deliverables.
• Ensure resource availability and allocation
• Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
• Coordinate and manage internal resources and third parties vendors for the flawless execution of projects, ensuring deliverable are available on time
• Manage the implementation of the plan with an eye on quality
• Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
• Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
• Regularly report on project progress, escalating issues to management as necessary
• Successfully manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders
• Perform risk management to minimise project risks
• Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
• Close projects with appropriate closure processes
• Contribute to continued improvement in the PMO
ABOUT YOU
The ideal candidate has exceptionally high ownership, excellent critical thinking skills and the ability to work with agility in a fast-paced environment. They would also be insanely focused on demonstrating excellence in service delivery and problem-solving; breaking down complex information into understandable and actionable items.
• >5 years of equivalent project management experience managing complex multidisciplinary projects in the IT / Telecom / Start-up/ Media space.
• University degree and Project Management Certification.
• Proven track record in leading cross-functional projects, preferably in an international environment.
• Experience in traditional IT/Telecom l Startup projects with virtual teams – agile projects are a plus.
• Strong understanding of both business as well as technology stakeholder requirements.
• Excellent knowledge of how the collaboration between Software Development, Testing, Business Analysts and Project Management takes place in an agile work environment.
• Strong written and oral communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, ability to prioritise work efficiently, and good team orientation.
• Experience in formulating technical as well as business requirements.
• Excellent analytical skills (problem structuring and problem-solving), able to handle complex analyses.
• Excellent JIRA and MS-Office knowledge, notably MS Project, PowerPoint, Excel.
• Languages: Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English
