Project Manager – Sandton
 
Our client is looking for a PM with 5 - 8 years in running projects in an IT environment preferably in Infrastructure & Systems Development environment.
 
Duties:
  • Ability to manage complex technical and business projects
  • Lead, organize, plan and control multiple IT and Business projects
  • Maintain Projects Dashboard
  • Lead and manage the project resources.
  • Project definition document, Project schedules, Minutes, Risk & Issue logs, Decisions and project scope documents
  • Co-ordinate project start-up and tracking meetings
  • Ensure that the Project goals and objectives are achieved within the overall scope and that overall delivery takes place within time and budget
  • Manage and coordinate project prioritization forums
  • Manage and coordinate projects initiation forums
  • Project Risk Management and Reporting
  • Coordinate project close-up and lessons learned workshops.
  • Ensure delivery of project deliverables within the agreed time, cost and quality.
  • Ensure that project milestones are met.
  • Issue resolution and management
  • Scope change control
  • Manage the quality of the project output.
  • Adhere to the prescribed Project Management standards, templates and code of conduct.
 
Qualifications and experience required:
  • IT degree / diploma
  • Project Management Diploma or Certificate
  • PM accreditation 
  • 5 - 8 years experience in Project Management environment running projects in an IT environment preferably in Infrastructure & Systems Development environment
  • Systems Development experience (3 -5 years exp)
  • Agile systems methods
  • Computer literate (MS Office, MS Project. Project Web Access (EPM)
  • ITIL training and\or experience
  • Good understanding of product development life cycle (PDLC)
  • Good understanding of SDLC Ability to see the big picture and work accurately with the detail
  • Ability to meet specific project goals and objectives
  • Ability to lead and manage virtual teams of internal or external resources
  • Good command of the English language.
  • Good interpersonal and intrapersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
