Project Manager

The Project Manager is responsible for the detail project planning, project budgets, costs, MPS control and scheduling of work and deliverables. You will be responsible for planning activities (PS Next & MPS), organising the execution thereof, controlling progress, enhancing progress, reporting and managing resources (resource requirements, acquisition, utilising. Ultimately this position is required to ensure the Company delivers within contracted schedules, cost and technical constraints/requirements.

Requirements:
Project Management and Technical qualification.
At least 5 >10 years related experience (Project Management).
Excellent production skills: B.Sc. Eng. or equivalent qualification/experience.
Acknowledged Project Management Training or proven track-record on multiple projects and large, high-complexity projects.
Knowledge and experience in the use of material process management tools.
Demonstrate the ability to manage complex military production projects.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent people management & motivational skills.
Good working knowledge of Qmuzik, PS Next, MS Office, Power Point and Outlook.
Must be able to work under pressure.
Must be punctual, reliable, with honesty and integrity.

Responsibilities:
Ensures that units are delivered according to schedule (must be better than contracted schedule).
Ensures that all activities are planned in MPS.
Ensures that the material is received on time and delivered within budget.
Compiling, negotiating and contracting project scope of work as described in WBSs and SOWs with the allocated budgets.
Ensures that all customer contractual requirements are properly understood and interpreted into correctly defined SOWs, task logic diagrams, Gant charts and related project plans.
Ensuring the execution and management of all activities as planned according to the project schedule; including tactical level management (daily activities and output/delivery (targets) to ensure optimal delivery of all contracted (and uncontracted (required) work).
Reporting project progress (technical, financial) and project risks/issues & relevant mitigation actions to the HY Programme Manager.
Manage project risks and risk mitigation.
Ensures that all activities are properly managed (controlled), monitored, maintained and executed.
Ensures proper contracting of resources through line management via work packages with properly defined SOW’s.
Ensures optimal utilisation of all contracted resources; including suppliers and service providers.
Assistance in customer and contractually related interactions.
Ensures application of all applicable Company Policies, Procedures and Work Instructions to the best of your ability including Company Employee Ethics Policy.
Establish a motivated team.
