An engineering Firm based in Gauteng has a position for a Project Manager, Portuguese speaking and BEE Candidate Preferably. Candidate will be traveling to Angola and Mozambique.


OUTPUTS

Managing the main contract between the Client and Contractor. Typical contracts utilized are FIDIC and NEC type contracts
Managing all the Sub-Contractors and associated Sub Contract agreements
Enforcing HSE standards and regulations
Planning, implementation and monitoring of the projects works program
Critical path analysis
Project evaluation, identifying and revising the project risk portfolio
Project scope, ensuring no gold plating. The Candidate will be required to identify all variation orders and contractual claims
Project cost, ensuring no cost over runs
Project time line, ensuring no project delays
Project quality as defined within the contract
Co-ordination of all design, procurement and execution deliverables
Commercial understanding of the contract and reporting theof
Monitoring and reporting of project performance against project deliverables
Managing an EPC project team with tight time lines and cost parameters throughout Southern Africa
Demonstrating innovative leadership
Growing and maintaining strong relationship with client management
Planning and directing the organisation ‘s activities to achieve agreed short and long term targets
Upholding a proud organisational culture values and reputation in its markets and with staff and other stakeholders
Management of the design submittals and draughting support team
Management of project filing, archiving and complete documentation control
Frequent travel to Mozambique and Angola

REQUIREMENTS

Electrical Engineering Degree (BSc or B-Tech)
8 -10 years of Project management experience
Must be Portuguese speaking
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification shall be beneficial
Proven exposure to project management and electrical systems
Hands on knowledge of QA systems, best practice management, safety standards and ISO requirements
Proven exposure to claims and variation preparation and submissions
Proven leadership skills and experience in managing multi-disciplinary teams
Effective communication at all levels
