We are looking to hire a project manager.

Daily activities

The focus will be on the successful implementation of an Employee Relations strategy and the monitoring, evaluating and reporting of this initiative, including -

· Implementation and monitoring of communication structures

· Design of communication material for diverse audiences

· Organisational, team and individual performance management

· Meeting structures, planning, measuring, recording and reporting of performance

· Team effectiveness

· Roadblock / Issue resolution

· High Performance Union Management Engagements

· Performance based recognition and reward (incentive schemes)

· Other related activities as required by the client

The role will involve travel and the candidate must be willing to work overtime and on certain weekends, depending on the client’s requirements

Required Competencies and Abilities:

The successful candidates must have-

· Excellent people skills and be able to easily facilitate understanding and support from management, line managers and unions

· Excellent communication skills (both written / visual and spoken communication)

· The ability to use their own initiative

· The ability to work with little supervision

· The ability adapt to different work environments, be able to work with flexibility and little routine

· Excellent problem solving skills

· The ability to translate strategy in to practice

· An eye for detail and be meticulous in written work

· Excellent computer skills with a focus on the development of reports, manuals / training material and presentations.

· Excellent skills in written English. Ability to speak other South African languages is desirable

Qualifications:

· Matric / A Levels

· Bachelor’s degree in related field

· Certificate from an accredited business improvement methodology / program e.g. green / black belt lean / Six Sigma qualifications ( desirable)

Required Experience and Knowledge:

· Performance reporting and operational performance management processes and structures

· Organisational communication and engagement processes and structures

· Communication tools and technologies

· Minimum 2 years communication experience demonstrating a record of successful implementation of initiatives and the process of measuring and reporting on the initiative

· Consulting experience is desirable

· Project management experience is desirable.
