Main Objectives:
1. Identify and pursue business opportunities, establishing relationships with decision makers in the industry.
2. Provide clients with single contact access to a range of services.
3. Assume responsibility for the successful planning, co-ordination and realisation of assigned live event from inception to completion to ensure cohesion, efficiency and quality in the delivery of the product.
Responsibilities:
Clients:
• Source prospective clients and introduce them to the scope of Gearhouse SA's equipment and expertise by means of demos, workshop tours, promotional material etc.
• Develop and maintain sound business relations with client on behalf of the company.
• Visit current industry events on-site to further cultivate client relationships.
• Attend sales meetings to discuss potential sales leads.
Project Management:
• Establish the client’s requirements and work with the relevant Gearhouse Managers to provide solutions.
• Function as liaison between the client and Gearhouse SA throughout the quoting and negotiation process, ensuring that all the client's requirements are met and securing confirmation.
• Assist the Accounts division with collecting payment for confirmed jobs.
• Plan and co-ordinate the event; generate technical production schedules and organise the requirement details (equipment, personnel, transport, travel, forklifts etc) with the relevant Operations Managers in weekly operations meetings.
• Monitor the progress and standard of job preparation by operations and administrative staff prior to load-in.
• Oversee the load-in and set up of equipment, ensuring that technical personnel are fully briefed.
• Provide on-site management support for the client, serving as the primary contact between him/her and Gearhouse technical personnel.
• Co-ordinate and support personnel from all disciplines onsite, ensuring adherence to Gearhouse SA codes of conduct, dress codes, customer service levels and health and safety standards.
• Communicate regularly with technical staff and/or Management regarding progress and resolve changes, performance problems, conflicts or issues impeding progress.
• Perform a quality control function throughout the entire project.
• Organise all necessary site requirements such as crew passes, catering, electrician, storage facilities, etc.
• Organise and oversee the load-out ensuring that it takes place safely and efficiently as scheduled and that the venue is left in good condition.
• Complete and submit the Gearhouse SA Job Report Form.
• Conduct a follow-up with the client after the event.

Assist management with any other duties as may be required.
Requirements:
• Matric
• Project management course or equivalent on the job experience
• Previous project management experience essential
• Project Management experience in the events industry is advantageous

• Technical knowledge - Good technical knowledge of all disciplines, Audio, AV, Lighting, Rigging, Power, Structures, etc.
