Our client based in the Johannesburg are looking for a Software Project Manager to add to their team
Tasks you will be responsible for will include:
• Managing projects and relationships through effective and efficient communication and documentation
• Compiling and managing the project plan/schedule
• Managing the changes requested
• Managing the impact of change on the Organisation
• Managing the budget
• Managing project resources
• Managing the scope and quality
• Managing project risks
• Specifying and overseeing project planning, analysis, execution, implementation and post implementation support
• Lead and direct concurrent complex projects classified as standard and complex projects. This will include taking projects from original concept through to final implementation
• This person will interface with all stakeholders
• Ensure adherence to quality standards and review project deliverables and communicate with the relevant stakeholders regarding the status of specific projects
• Drive implementation of the vision of the adviser training and development business unit
• Analysing skills gaps and performance improvement opportunities at branch and individual level
• Ensuring that business compliance requirements are met
• Providing on-going reporting and analysis of training and coaching activities
• Managing relationships with all relevant business units
Successful Candidate will require:
• 3+ years' experience as development manager or in an adviser development position, or suitable industry experience
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent
• Motivational and inspirational leader with excellent decision making skills and assertiveness
• Adequate team leadership, motivation ability and business acumen
• Good understanding of and appreciation for technology
• Advanced verbal and written communication, negotiation and influencing skills
• Knowledge of database recovery models, backup and restore processes, maintenance plans, scheduling, SQL Server Agent
• Understanding of database Filegroups and files
• SQL Server MCSA or MCSE certification preferred and intermediated SQL experience necessary
• Perform analysis
• Contribute to the creation of design documents and process documents;
• Advise development teams on ongoing database-related maintenance and performance
• Create ad-hoc reports in a support role from extracted data to various formats on-demand (CSV text, Excel, SSIS packages, SQL Server Reporting Services)
• Data import and export between various formats on-demand (CSV text, Excel, SSIS packages)
