Own car and valid driver’s license

Minimum Matric qualification
MS Projects
Primavera 6 and higher
PPP (Project Planning Professional)
Formal qualification is not a necessity but will be advantages (B-Tech / BSc) in either Mechanical, Civil or Electrical
Experience in Enterprise Project Management (EPM)
Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Project Planner on Construction (Multi Discipline) projects.
Mining experience (Coal) will be advantages

Develop and update the project master schedule to include all stakeholder requirements and interfaces;
Be actively involved in the detailed review, analysis and monitoring of the procurement and construction programmes of the Construction Contractors and Specialist Subcontractors as well as the design delivery programmes of the
Design Teams (including specialist consultants) to develop and manage the Project Master Programme;
Work closely on a day to day basis with the Planners and Design team of the Construction Contractor to monitor and/or amend the Contractor’s Baseline Programme Work;
Report to the Project Manager any risks, opportunities and any mitigation strategies to maintain the project completion date;
Responsible (with the Project Manager) to interrogate and review the construction contractor’s and specialist contractor’s programme submissions and update the project master schedule;
Review actual design and construction progress and prepare and maintain an updated project master schedule;
Attend site and convene workshops with the site team as necessary to get snap-shots in time updates on actual progress on site;
Conduct independent site visits to evaluate the contractor’s site progress against his programme and report to the Project Manager accordingly;
In an effort to manage and mitigate delays (if any), review the programme and propose alternative strategies to mitigate programme and time risks to the project;
Provide support to the team in understanding risks and opportunities of potential change orders through the process of this project;
This detailed control and monitoring of the programme will also enable input and support to the project team, to evaluate any related construction contractors and design teams claims and variations as considered necessary;
Where necessary support the project team with review and analysis of the programmes to assist with resolution of claims and change orders;
Promote and foster a strong team culture and open and transparent communication within the Project Support Office and Project community.
