A Botswana Based Construction company operating throughout Botswana is looking for a suitably qualified Snr Contracts Manager/Contracts manager with a sound knowledge of Roads & Earthworks on Highways and Provincial roads and who are prepared to travel. This particular contract is 120 km gravel road near the Tuli Block and is to be upgraded to a sealed road, and will approximately 30 - 36 months in duration.

Assumes responsibility for the Contracts Management and integration of all physical construction activities on site.

Skills, Experience & Education:

BSc/BEng Civil Engineering (For work permits)
15 - 20 years of experience in the Roads & earthworks industry particularly in Highway/National roads, out of which the last 6-8 years should have functioned in the similar capacity of a medium/ large Roads & Earthworks construction Company , surfacing would be an added bonus.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

To construct and deliver the allocated section of work within a specified timeframe with allocated resources.
Read, understand and explain drawing specifications to Foremen.
Ensure safety compliances to and promote safe working practices.
Monitor construction activity on site to prescribed quality standards.
Monitor production and make daily progress reports for submission to Line Management.
Identify bottlenecks, resolve them and streamline the construction process on site.
Integrate various resource requirements of production teams on site.
Monitor, control and improve production and productivity levels on site.
Conduct production planning and integration meetings on site
