Our clients, (experts in industrial machines and the leading specialists in PLC and Drive Automation) require a PROJECTS TECHNICIAN for their premises in WATERFALL, KZN

Job Requirements:
*Be completely proficient in understanding electrical schematics (pneumatic schematics Advantageous)
*Be able to design & generate a functional electrical diagrams by means of CAD or E-Plan or hand.
*Be self-motivated and self-sufficient.
*Must be driven to further learn and stay abreast in the field advancements.
*Generate a Bill of materials for given installations.
*Order parts and keep track of expenditure for projects, whilst remaining within budget.
*Be able to complete an installation with or without a small team.
*Oversee & check panel building tasks, be required to build/wire electrical panels when needed.
*Be able to interpreted basic logic ladder programming (Advantageous).
*Research schematics and wiring requirements to integrate products as they are required to operate on site
*Research product data sheets to configure and commission.
*Advise and assist technical staff in projects department.
*Expected growth direction would be PLC & Drive (Servo) programming.
*Provide updates to customers during ongoing projects.
*Delegate work and monitor progress in projects department
*Ensure delivery times are kept to by suppliers and escalate the matter if necessary to ensure lead times are kept to
*Site breakdowns and support when required
*Receive and action instructions from management in an efficient manner
*Provide feedback to management on possible improvements and changes necessary to provide the best possible support and solutions to our customers


Areas of expertise:
*Working experience with E-Plan/electrical CAD software.
*Exercise industry best practises in all aspects of delivered work.
*Develop Electrical drawings & implement.
*Logical approach for further development in PLC & Drive (Servo) programming.
*Must be from Industrial background and NOT Domestic Background
*Travel to customers sites locally

Qualifications:
*Electronics or electrical Certification / Diploma or min 5 years in automation industry experience. (Mechatronics)
*Must have Matric

Remuneration:
R15k to R 25k depending on experience.
