Projects & Work Integrated Learning (WIL) Manager
CONTRACT POSITION TILL 2016
One of the top SETA’s is currently recruiting for a Projects & Work Integrated Learning (WIL) Manager to oversee and manage the successful implementation of strategic projects defined in the Strategic Plan.

Education, Training and Experience
• Bachelor's degree in related field
• Five or more years’ experience in a Skills Development environment of which three years should be in managing projects at a cross functional and in an integrated manner
• Knowledge of the applicable skills development legislation, financial regulations and the governance management framework
• Experience within a SETA environment
• Excellent project management skills
• High level of monitoring, evaluation and reporting skills
• Sound financial and risk management skills

Key performance areas

• Assign work, assign resources and provide direction with regards to timelines and completion of strategic accordance with SETA Grants Regulations
• Overseer the overall implementation of projects including marketing administration and Grants payment and reports
• Monitor, track and report on progress made on each project
• Liaise with and build positive relationships with all stakeholders involved in the project. This includes but is not limited to takeholders, employer associations,(WIL), DHET, Chambers, bargaining council and labour
• Review and maintain and improve business processes and procedures for the unit.
• Manage allocated projects budget
• Manage, develop and coach the Projects Unit Staff
• Provide performance reports for SETA Quarterly Monitoring Report (SQMR) and Grants Committee meetings.
• Manage and implement the Provincial Skills Development Strategy.
• Benchmark the project Management Unit against local and international project management best practices
• Promote existing projects
• Manage risks in own area
• Market the placement of learners and registration of learners on work integrated learning programs
• Conduct monitoring and evaluation of strategic projects including learner tracer studies.
• Present formal presentations, conduct workshops and participate in events where needed
• Ensure successful implementation of WIL as mandated by DHET towards the fulfilment of Skills Development Act.
• Facilitate and coordinate partnerships for SETAs, FET and HE institutions for purposes of research, needs analysis and curriculum development and innovation
