POSITION SUMMARY:

The Proposal Writer is a part-time position that will produce professionally written proposal content that clearly articulates Accelerate Performance’s value proposition on a client-by- client basis. Additionally, the Proposal Writer will create and edit sales presentations, as well as collateral content for a variety of new business development projects.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Deliver completed written proposal responses against RFP (Request For Proposals) deadlines, escalating issues as required
- Identify and re-work existing pre-written content where relevant
- Assist Accelerate Performance Management in developing a proposal structure, compliance matrix, and proposal schedule
- Gather information by liaising with in-house subject matter experts
- Re-write/ edit proposal inputs and coordinate with key personnel to ensure accuracy
- Edit proposals and related documents for completeness and compliance with editorial standards and proposal formatting/ composition
- Create and maintain an electronic proposal library/ database
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and maintaining professional networks
- Maintain quality results by using templates; following proposal-writing standards including readability, consistency, and tone
- Identify and communicate risks associated with proposals
- Assist in preparing statistical summaries and reports
- Assist Accelerate Performance with other forms of communication/ solicitation
- Maintain inventory of all opportunities - past, present, and future
- Maintain contract matrix and keep past performance information up to date
- May perform other duties as required by Management

- Computer literate with proficiency in MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and Email

REPORTING LINE:

- The Proposal Writer responsibilities will report to the CEO

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

- Degree educated (ideally English Literature) or Journalistic/ Professional Writing background
- Proven skills in producing and editing proposal content within a complex business environment
- The proposal writer will be experienced in participating in key review meetings, final document review, content sign off and document production
