Our client has an exciting opportunity available for a PS Technician
Responsibilities
• Ensure that the right quantity and type of materials is issued to you as per Material Control Sheet and Job number. Compare materials issued to issue note.
• Arrange specialised tools and Test equipment if necessary.
• Make sure that there are adequate consumables (non-stock items) in our vehicle at all times.
• Maintain and check your Installation tools, making sure that they are functional. Arrange for it to be repaired and follow up until repaired and returned.
• Do daily vehicle inspections, and ensure that the vehicle is roadworthy.
• Liaise and confirm with Assistant Technician that the stock / materials issued, Specialised Tools, consumables and vehicle has been checked, and is ready for site.
• Convey all Installation information to the Assistant Technician. Give clear instructions to them and make sure that they understand the scope of work.
• Adapt planning, scheduling and instructions when required to ensure maximum progress, quality of workmanship and efficiency.
• Report and confirm activities daily to client, Installation Manager or Sales Representative.
• Supervise and monitor Assistant Technicians progress and activities on an ongoing basis.
• Take ownership and ensure that the quality of workmanship is of a high standard according to Infrastructure specifications.
• Make sure that all remaining materials is handed back to stores and reconcile the receipt note with materials issued and installed, by comparing it to the job sheet and issue note.
• Work after hours, weekends and Public holidays when required.
• Develop and execute new and sound work related ideas for your Installation team

Requirements
• Technical (Mechanical, Electrical or IT Engineering) qualification preferable
• 2 -3 years’ minimum work experience doing Structured Communication Cabling.
• Copper -Systimax, Molex, Krone or Voice certification advantages
• Fibre – FOA or similar training certification.
• Valid Driver’s license a must.
• Competent technical understanding.
• Intimate service’s knowledge
• Intimate services process knowledge
• General IT industry knowledge / awareness
• Ownership and driver to resolution.
• Strong character
• NB: For you to fulfil the above requirements you will be required to climb towers, mast and high buildings.
