Multinational pharmaceutical company seeks to employ a Professional Sales Representative detailing the East Rand area calling on pharmacies.

Minimum Requirements

• Relevant B Degree or equivalent
• 1 year experience in pharmaceutical or medical industry

Key Performance Outputs

• Territory planning and management
• Analyze market and identify market share potential and under performing areas using available data
• Identify competitor activities, products and campaigns and feedback key issues
• Liaise with team members to share information and therefore contribute to the generation and delivery of the territory plan
• Provide monthly brand specific feedback
• Set territory objectives based on budget and territory analysis to develop business plans and implement to increase market share in line with overall business plan
• Demonstrate understanding of territory by proposing strategies and measures to address key issues in territory
• Implement marketing and retail strategies effectively and demonstrate ROI

• Field force effectiveness:
• Coverage of pharmacies according to agreed cycle plan
• Record coverage and call notes on MI
• Maximize potential working days vs. actual working days
• Daily update of diary planner
• Customer management:
• Identify opportunities for direct sales
• Establish customer training needs and provide relevant training
• Identify managed health care opportunities and/or refer to regional key account managers (motivations)
• High level of customer service e.g. timely response to customer queries and general request from customers or refer them to relevant persons at headquarters to resolve concerns
• Administrative systems:
• Ensure territory and administrative systems/processes are maintained and updated to ensure an accurate record of territory is available at all times
• Submission of expenses within agreed upon time
• Submit required medical documentation for customer related functions
