A well know automotive manufacturing company has a vacancy for a Purchasing / Logistics Clerk to start asap.
PURPOSE OF ROLE
• Purchasing of stock items/accessories
• Shipping
• Other functions related to the whole supply chain
• Expediting
• Replenishment management
• Reporting
MAIN DUTIES
• To procure and expedite stock items, accessories and consumables required to satisfy customer demand ensuring component availability at all times.
• Follow through of placement of orders and confirmation to shipment receipt into database as well as the warehouse.
• Ensuring data reliability of inventory parameters.
• Analysis of MRP on a weekly basis.
• Liaison with suppliers on regular basis regarding order status and maintenance of sound working relationships with suppliers.
• Highlighting potential delays timeously.
• Liaising with freight forwarders - ie collection of cargo from suppliers (air & sea freights), arranging payments & distributing of documentation to relevant parties internal and external.
• Maintenance and control of stock levels on all accessories and materials to set company parameters.
• Cost recovery from suppliers for non-conforming products
• Weekly / monthly reports.
KEY ATTRIBUTES & COMPETENCIES
• Strong data analysis skills
• Basic technical knowledge will be an advantage.
• Strong MS Excel skills
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Self-motivated, adaptable and resourceful.
• Computer literacy, knowledge of SYSPRO will be an advantage
• Must be detail-orientated, well organized and be able to multi-task
• Ability to work as a team player is essential.
• Ability to communicate in Mandarin, will be advantageous
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE
• Minimum Grade 12
• Minimum of 3 years purchasing & logistics/shipping experience.

• R169 000 – R195 000/Annum (13th Cheque included)
