MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Getting quotes
• Processing of requisitions
• Review purchase requisitions for completeness.
• Seek new suppliers based on best price, quality, availability and reliability.
• Assist Head of Department to review preferred suppliers on a regular basis and seek better products/suppliers.
• Follow up on orders placed with suppliers.
• Maintain suppliers list.
• Ensure all items received on time are correct specs and good condition.
• Assist Head of Procurement where necessary
• Any other duties as requested QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
• Matric
• Must have at least 1 -2 years experience in buying
• Diploma or Certificate in Purchasing will be added advantage
SKILLS:
• Verbal and written communication
• Computer literacy
• Good negotiation skills
• Self motivated and ambitious
