THE COMPANY requires the services of a QA Analyst: Test Automation Specialist in the Technology Department. We require a self-starter with an outgoing personality and the ability to communicate at all levels. The successful candidate will be required to facilitate the Test Automation within the QA Analyst team.

KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Responsible for the developing and executing automated test scripts.
• Responsible for maintaining and extending the existing automation suite of test tools.
• Identify test automation needs and develop automated scripts / test cases to cover gaps according to test automation plan.
• Assist QA Manager in developing test automation plans.
• Development of tools and utilities required to assist the testing team.
• Preservation of the test ware.
• Converting current manual test case base to automated tests.
• Study and adhere to quality assurance (QA) practices of the Technology Department to ensure that new product and software releases meet documentation / signoff requirements as well as stakeholder expectations.
• Identify constraints that may and do reduce work output and plan for the rectification of these constraints. Inform relevant stakeholders of constraints that cannot be rectified independently within a reasonable period of time.
• Identify and rectify any causes of delays / failure to successfully complete testing requirements.
• Investigate and share opportunities to improve testing productivity, processes and procedures with QA Team.
• Liaise with internal and external development parties.

DAILY DUTIES:
• Definition and preparation of test data.
• Creation of the test cases and scripts to be used in test automation.
• Test-script configuration management and test execution following agreed requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Logging outcomes and verifying test execution.
• Logging and managing defects.
• Reporting on test outcomes and providing execution statistics.
• Reporting of testing progress and status.

SKILS:
• Attention to detail.
• Strong technical and troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of the entire Software Development Life Cycle.
• Understanding of general programming and application usage.
• Ability to multi task across projects.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:
• Matric or Equivalent Certification.
• Relevant IT degree or diploma required.
• Testing certification preferably iSTQB.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience within a testing role.
• Testing experience should include:
• 1 – 3 years’ experience in C#.
• Solid experience working with fourth-fifth generation frameworks.
• Experience of testing end to end solutions comprising multiple packaged and bespoke components with technologies such as - WPF, WCF, BPEL, WSDL, XML, HTML, JAVA etc.
• Testing in both waterfall and agile environments making use of continuous integration.
• Training on relevant programs is essential. E.g. MS SQL Server, TFS, MS Visual Studio.
• Knowledge of Windows Forms and Web development an advantage.
• Database Design experience will be advantageous.
• Object Orientated Analysis and Design Skills advantageous.
• Willing to work extended hours.
• Willing to travel.
