Position Overview:
This role aims to ensure that the products and services the organization provides is fit for purpose, is consistent and meets both external and internal requirements. This includes legal compliance and customer expectations. The QA Manager must be able to develop, implement and manage the environmental health and safety program for the company. Ensure that that health and safety programs conform to established standards, applicable regulatory requirements and customer specifications, thereby promoting long lasting high customer satisfaction with the service of the company.

Essential Job Functions
• Devising and establishing company’s quality procedure, standards, and specifications.
• Reviewing customer requirements and making sure they are met.
• Working with purchasing staff to establish quality requirements from external suppliers.
• Setting up standards for quality as well as health and safety.
• Ensuring that the manufacturing and production processes meet the required standards.
• Defining quality procedures in conjunction with operating staff.
• Setting up and maintaining controls and documentation procedures.
• Making suggestions for changes and improvements and how to implement them.
• Ensuring that the company is working as effectively as possible to keep up with competitors.
• Ensure that the company complies with QA strategy and strive to build on it.
• Based on customer feedback, managers input, internal and external audit results, the QA Manager develops an annual audit plan with monthly inspection and audit requirements.
• Report audit findings to Management.
• Perform other qualified duties as needed.

Requirements
• Working knowledge of electronic and electrical equipment for military, rail, alternative energy, electronic technology solutions quality practices, and quality systems such as ISO-9001, IRIS, Health & Safety
• In depth knowledge of environmental regulations.
• Familiar with Continuous Process Improvement (CPI).
• Audit internal departments to check compliance to policies and procedures.
• Ensure that all documentation and paper work is in order.
• Ensure traceability of products.
• Knowledge of the Health and Safety processes and procedures.
• Excellent communication skills
• Control team of inspectors.
• Effective Leadership skills and interpersonal skills
• Ability to communicate fluently in English and or Afrikaans
