Brief Description of the Job:
The software tester’s role is to verify that every aspect of the product works the way the designers intended, in accordance with the user requirement specification. Software must be tested for ease of use, how it handles invalid data and how well it performs under load. Throughout this phase of development, the tester will record findings accurately and report back to the development team.

Responsibilities:
•Estimation of the test effort involved for each testing task based on risk considerations.
•Evaluate and test new or modified software programs to verify that programs function according to functional specification and user requirements.
•Participate in development from design to completed product to drive quality into not only the software application but also the culture of the
organization.
•Plan, design and author test cases.
•Develop automated tests for test cases.
•Accurate and comprehensive defect reporting.
•Accurately document test procedures and results to allow for continuous process improvement and build up a knowledge base.
•Review log files to identify program processing errors.
•Identifies differences between established standards and user applications and suggests modifications to conform to standards.
•Adapts to new Testing software that the company might decide to use.
•Conduct compatibility tests with vendor-provided programs.
•Test implementations/integrations with third party platforms.
•Monitors program performance to ensure efficiency of operation.

Qulaifications:
Grade 12 / Standard 10 Certificate
Computer Literacy Level:
Advanced: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Other Software Packages:
MS Visio,HP ALM.

Requirements:
•Minimum of 3 years- Tester experience at unit, integration and system levels.
•Willing to work extended hours and overtime.
•Must have a reliable transport to and from work.

Added Advantages:
•Certificate or Diploma in Information Systems.
•ISEB or ITSQB foundations certification.
•HP ALM experience.
•Experience in a WMS application.
