JOB SUMMARY STATEMENT: Monitoring those activities necessary to fulfill the Project’s Quality requirements and assist and support the Quality Assurance Department in improving the Quality Management System. Assist the Engineering Discipline in sourcing valid and latest revisions of codes, standards and specifications. Ensure timeous and accurate compilation of packs and submission of same.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS (DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES):
• Approach work strategically by taking a long-term approach to work. Consider future trends and the impact of current work on future possibilities.

• Experience in the steel fabrication, piping, welding industries.
• Exposure to the Medupi and Kusile projects desirable
• Knowledge of Q Management systems (ISO 9001; ISO 3834);
• Experience in the preparation, review and selling of Quality Packs;
• Drive financial optimisation and efficiency by taking profit and loss/risk issues into account and reward effective decisions and behaviour in support of efficiency management and business optimisation.
• Develop and maintain contact with client’s site representatives.
• Effective resource management by planning, scheduling and implementing action steps to ensure effective use of all resources in order to achieve objectives.

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS:
•? SAIW – Level 1 & 2
• Quality Management Systems - ISO 9001
• Relevant Trade
• Any one of the following NDT Disciplines: Dye Pen, Ultrasonic and Radio Graphic Test, MPI

EXPERIENCE:
• 3 - 5 years’ experience in construction industry
• At least 5 years’ experience as a senior QC/QC Manager
• 2 – 3 Years’ experience in quality control inspection support services
• 2 – 3 Years’ experience in ISO 9001 environment
