QC OFFICER / MANAGER – East Rand

SALARY: Negotiable with the experience

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE
• Matric + relevant qualifications - QC/AC certificates
• Computer literate – MS Office (Excel, Outlook)
• Min 5 years QC experience – essential
• Good communication skills

MAIN DUTIES:
The QC Officer/ Manager will be responsible for the general management & coordination of the QC and report to the Senior Project Manager.

• Ensures that the contractor, its employees and lower tier subcontractors always adheres to Quality Control
• Receives, reviews, confirms program meets the QC Program & approves subcontractor QC Manuals and verifies each subcontractors is following their program.
• Initiates, tracks and files all QAN and NOC notices & pursue the correction of any known QC Notices.
• Maintains and prepares weekly QA/QC reports for the OAC meeting
• Maintains and prepares weekly Closeout reports (Work/Punch List) for the OAC meeting.
• Understand the drawings / specifications and review frequently.
• Reviews the specifications & generates the QA/QC Responsibility Matrix which indicates by specification all QA/QC requirements.
• Develops & track the performance of all Mock-up requirements and approvals.
• Initiates, tracks, and files all – per-pour cards / overhead & in wall inspections / 1ST time inspections.
• Establishes a pre-installation meeting workshop for each trade & phase of work.
• Coordinates, inspects & files the all system activation required paperwork.
• Manages, coordinates, tracks & verifies the work and punch list process, reports, and forms.
• Works with the Owners Inspection Agency and/or 3rd Party Inspection & tracks all quality issues and logs.
• Collects, inspects, files & reports on all attic stock.
• Maintains an attic stock log.
• Participates in offsite stored material inspections.
• Participates in the subcontractor pre-construction meetings by providing the QA/QC overview.
• Implements & oversees the IAQ program.
• Is thoroughly familiar with the scope of contract documents, and is responsible for their interpretation / coordinates technical questions with regards to the specifications.
• Monitors QC & insures that construction is in accordance with contract documents.
• Provides supports in Receiving & Inspecting Pre-purchased Equipment & Materials to insure adherence to specifications.
• The QC Manager shall be responsible to coordinate off-site audits and inspections.
