The QC Technician is responsible for testing samples, reporting variances, recording results, data capturing and filing.
• Routine sampling and final QC testing of all batches produced using standard test methods, reporting any variances.
• Inspection of finished product packaging/labeling and where required, the application of stickers to denote product status.
• Carry out all routine internal calibration testing of laboratory equipment, as specified in the Calibration File. Report any faulty equipment.
• Enter QC data for batches in the QC database.
• Carry out non-routine testing on: 1) expired product, 2) complaint samples, 3) property drift monitoring of retained samples or 4) any other work relating to product or raw material quality.
• Maintain stocks of laboratory reagents, consumable items and glassware by reporting low stock levels to the Process Chemist.
