My Client, a provider of temporary power generation services is looking for a suitably qualified hands-on QHSE Manager, Southern East & North Africa who will be willing to be out travelling 90% of the month

Purpose of the Job:- 

To ensure that the Company’s Southern, East and North Africa area compliant to company and local legislation in terms of QHSE and provide Senior Management with a platform to manage QHSE effectively

Job Accountabilities/Key Responsibilities:-

  • Engage with the local operations management to ensure that the HSE strategy is implemented
  • Develop QHSE plans for all projects and depots throughout the Southern, East and North Africa region.
  • Ensure the QMS is adhered to across the region and all internal audits are passed
  • Ensure non-compliance recording on external audits are closed out as per the audit report
  • Ensure compliance to local legislation on HSE
  • Ensure risk reporting database is utilised and kept updated
  • Submit a detailed monthly management report highlighting key risks, positives and areas for improvement
  • Collate and develop the HSE statistics for monthly reporting
  • Develop initiatives for QHSE risk mitigation
  • Ensure risk assessments are carried out for routine and non-routine tasks within the region
  • Ensure all HSE procedures are adhered and promote safe working practices, in accordance with BOP standards.
  • Ensure all HSE audits are conducted and actions followed-up and closed out in a timely manner in accordance with the BOP and company policies and procedures
  • Conduct and ensure comprehensive accident/incident investigations are carried out
  • Coordinate HSE training of site personnel in consultation with the Area head of operations
  • Coach, mentor and manage Southern, East and North Africa QHSE teams
  • Ensure the Company complies with all local environmental regulations

Person Specification/Job Requirements:-

  • NEBOSH International General Certificate
  • Audit experience
  • Previous experience in supervising/managing a team of multi-nationals
  • Able to travel freely around the region
