QUALIFIED CARPENTER X1

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Operate various hand tools, power tools, and equipment used to complete carpentry duties, power saw,
drills, and other tools used for measuring, cutting and fastening.
• Carve and assemble furniture, cabinets, shelves and other items as requested.
• Conduct routine site inspections for repairs and/or maintenance.
• Ensure all performed duties meet the hospital’s safety standards.
• Perform preventative maintenance on tools and equipment by conducting inspections, lubricating, and cleaning on a
daily bases.
• Read and interpret blueprints, structural drawings, and specifications to perform work activities and calculate requirements.
• Comply with all company policies and regulations.
• Work in accordance with all local health and safety laws and regulations.

REQUIREMENTS:
• Grade 12, with successful completion of a carpentry apprenticeship program required.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Carpentry.
• Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction.
• Proficient in using electrical and/or manual equipment and measuring tools.
• Ability to read technical documents and drawings.
• Fluent in English – Efficiency in other languages is recommendable.
