Qualitative Research Manager - Johannesburg

Our client is a Market Research Agency, looking for a Qualitative Researcher with AGENCY experience. This role encompasses:
Independent management of multiple projects
Full management of the entire research cycle:
o Taking and interpreting briefs
o Clearly articulate business and research objectives, with critical review of client’s ask
o Methodology and sample design, with the ability to justify methodology and sample choice and construction
o Ability to cost projects and understanding the implications of costing parameters
o Excellent, succinct and thoughtful questionnaire design
o Clear understanding of analysis processes, regardless of tool previously used
o Ability to create a clear story out of numbers, as opposed to just “reportage”

Requirements:
• At least a B.SC or equivalent in Statistics, any of the sciences
• 5 - 10 years of market research - related industry experience
• Good leadership skills with a particular emphasis on coaching and mentoring
• Passionate about solving strategic problems through creative, custom solutions
• Previous working in an environment where you can partner with clients on their most critical business challenges
• Must have developed your capability to the point where you can confidently challenge clients and help them ask the right questions – not just take client orders
• Must be driven by excellence and want to grow client relationships through providing outstanding results
• Must have depth of experience in strategic qualitative work
