JOB TITLE: QUALITY ASSURER

We have a Quality Assurer position available for a person interested in testing and management of the Testing process. The position is ideal for an individual looking to further his career in the Testing environment.
An ideal candidate will have an interest in computers and financial technology, be a fast learner and work well under pressure.
PURPOSE OF QUALITY ASSURER:

1. Planning, implementation, testing and management of the QA process.
2. Manage the test phase of the SDLC in order to support the system developers with the development of software products.
3. Managing and mentoring of junior QA testers.
4. Assists with time estimation of test processes for project plans.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The position entails the following responsibilities:
1. Development of all test plans, including the test strategy, test scenarios, test scripts and test data.
2. Manage the test phase of the SDLC according to software builds and releases.
3. Review Business Requirements Specifications, Functional Specifications and other project specific documentation from a testing perspective.
4. Manually conduct the system testing from beginning to end of the SDLC, including unit, end to end, regression, integration, stress, performance and load testing.

5. Assist in designing and ensuring quality of the testing process.
6. Communicate confidence level in software to all project stakeholders during the testing phase.
7. Defect / Change logging, reporting, tracking and maintenance.
8. Assist in the evaluation of and tracking tools.
9. Scheduling of timely feedback / project update sessions with QA team and other project role players. This is to ensure that test issues are resolved and project test schedules are met.
10. Compile written project status reports (e.g. weekly) and distribution to all project team members.
11. Assist with test related queries (or project related queries) from clients.
12. Installation of software on DEV, UAT, Pre-production and in Production environments.
13. Deployment of Commissioning from DEV to UAT, Pre-pod and Prod-environments.
14. Client Support - Manage maintenance related client enquiries, implement client initiated change requests and resolve product related crises.

REQUIREMENTS:

1) IT Diploma / Degree or equivalent Diploma / Degree.
2) Test Certification beneficial (e.g. ISEB / ISTQB / practical Software Test Certification).
3) 3 - 5 Years of Test Lead experience.
4) Basic competency in SQL Server.
5) Understanding of SDLC processes and methodologies.
6) Reporting skills.
